Den Goldenen Löwen für den besten Film gewinnt der schwedische Regisseur Roy Andersson für "A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence". Der Silberne Löwe geht an Andrei Kontschalowski für "The Postman's White Nights", den Grossen Preis der Jury erhält Joshua Oppenheimer für "The Look of Silence".
