Eine unwahrscheinliche Männerfreundschaft am Mittelmeer: Waleed (40) träumt von einer Schriftstellerkarriere. Er lebt mit Frau und Kindern in Haifa und leidet unter Depressionen.

Der neue Nachbar, ein Kleinkrimineller, bringt etwas Licht in den Alltag, und die beiden Männer werden zu Freunden. Doch Waleed verfolgt noch ganz andere Pläne. Aus einem heimlichen Vorhaben der beiden wird eine Reise voller düsterer Begegnungen.
